Surgery Center Staff Nurse

The Surgery Center Staff Nurse position is onsite in Austin, TX, with a Monday–Friday schedule, generally 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.; arrival time and hours vary with the surgery schedule. Compensation is not specified. The nurse supports CCRM Fertility’s clinical team and care for surgery and embryo-transfer patients. The nurse provides individualized perioperative care, from assessment and preparation through recovery, discharge, and follow-up. The role contributes to safe procedures, clear patient education, accurate documentation, and coordinated care in CCRM Fertility’s fertility-treatment services.

What you'll do

• Assess patients and document care and responses
• prepare supplies and equipment
• clean and sterilize instruments
• use sterile technique in OR and PACU settings
• educate patients
• communicate patient condition to providers
• discharge or arrange transfer as appropriate
• review procedure consents
• respond to emergencies
• complete postoperative calls
• assist with quality improvement and research as appropriate.
