The Senior Structural Engineer role is hybrid in Chicago, IL; Atlanta, GA; or Chantilly, VA, with an annual salary range of $122,200–$139,500. Exp Federal provides architectural, engineering, design-build, and construction support solutions to federal government clients. The engineer leads structural design and project delivery from early design through construction and commissioning. The role also supports project management, technical staff, client proposals, and assessments of existing structures to deliver federal projects that meet client and engineering requirements.

What you'll do

• Lead technical documentation, specifications, drawings, proposals, and presentations
• perform project and construction administration as project manager or structural lead
• manage labor estimates, communications, budgets, deliverables, and standards
• oversee engineering from concept through commissioning
• evaluate technical staff work
• approve discipline design criteria
• support marketing and business development
• review solicitations
• and conduct or oversee structural surveys and assessments.

Why this role

Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering and 15+ years of relevant experience required; PE required and SE preferred. Revit and AutoCAD proficiency required; travel, including abroad, required; U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance required.
