Director of Program Management

Job overview

The Director of Program Management role is onsite at the client’s Birmingham, Alabama headquarters at least three days per week; candidates in Atlanta or Nashville may be considered. The anticipated salary is $250,000–$350,000 per year, based on experience, and travel may be up to 25%. The client is a design-manufacture-construct firm using an industrialized construction model. The director owns an assigned category of the company’s program portfolio, including financial performance, client strategy, team structure, and delivery outcomes. The role builds and launches programs, manages capacity and investment planning, and takes direct control of programs facing significant schedule, financial, or client-relationship risks.

What you'll do

• Own full P&L and margin accountability across assigned programs
• build and restructure program teams
• develop executive client relationships and account strategy
• lead capital and capacity planning
• launch new programs, markets, and building types
• intervene in at-risk programs
• present performance and business cases to executives and the board
• represent the company externally
• champion safety and quality.
