The Service Apprentice / Service Trainee — Houston Area role is onsite, with a preferred residence in Houston, TX, or nearby areas. Compensation is $55,000 per year. The apprentice reports to a Service Manager at an assigned technical center and travels to customer sites with service engineers. The apprentice learns to repair, install, and move DMG MORI machines through classroom, factory, and online training and by assisting service engineers. The competency-based program generally lasts two to three years before certification and promotion to Service Engineer.
What you'll do
- Complete classroom, factory, and online training and pass with scores of at least 80%
- shadow service engineers on customer calls
- learn through observation and assist engineers during service calls
- and complete other assigned duties. The listed schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with 75% travel.
