Activities Assistant

Job overview

The Activities Assistant role is onsite in Springfield, MA. Compensation is $17.50–$18.50 per hour. Agawam South Rehab & Nursing provides resident activities and care in a rehabilitation and nursing setting. The assistant helps residents participate in meaningful group and individual programs suited to their interests and abilities. The role supports activity preparation and cleanup, documents participation, and works with the Activities Director and care team.

What you'll do

• Assist with planning and facilitating resident activities and programs
• encourage participation based on residents’ interests and abilities
• provide hands-on support during group and individual activities
• prepare activity areas and materials
• clean and organize after activities
• document resident participation and engagement
• collaborate with the Activities Director and care team.
