The Project Architect role is onsite in Birmingham, AL, with an annual salary of $100,000–$120,000. The position supports architectural projects, primarily in retail and banking environments, from early design through project closeout. The role exists to lead project delivery while balancing design, documentation, coordination, budgets, schedules, and client relationships. It helps project teams deliver high-quality work on schedule and within budget while supporting long-term client relationships.
What you'll do
- Lead project management to keep work on schedule, within budget, and aligned with client expectations and quality standards
- communicate with project teams, leadership, consultants, and clients
- establish and monitor project objectives, procedures, schedules, and performance standards
- coordinate budgets and schedules
- assist with fee proposals and agreements
- manage project teams
- support delivery from programming through closeout
- serve as primary client contact on assigned projects
- participate in design development, presentation drawings, specifications, design review, construction-document coordination, and drawing and specification review
- prepare project updates and reports
- identify issues and develop solutions
- contribute to design, documentation, detailing, and production.
