Student Engagement Specialist

What you'll do

• Complete orientation and training
• study students’ Behavioral Improvement Plans
• establish positive relationships with students and staff
• maintain professional boundaries
• work with other specialists to implement activities
• practice de-escalation skills, interventions, and consequences
• help keep campus areas clean and orderly
• greet visitors, parents, and reviewers
• and respond to supervisor requests. CPR and First Aid certification is required or must be completed within the first two weeks
• non-violent crisis intervention training is required.

Why this role

Rotating shifts include evenings from 2:45 p.m. to 11:15 p.m., non-school-day starts at 6:45 a.m. or 8:45 a.m., and nights beginning at 10:45 p.m. for 8 or 10 hours. Weekend rotations and dining with students are required.
