The Kiln Operator (B) – 3rd Shift role is onsite in Monroe, North Carolina. Pay is $18.03 per hour. This entry-level role supports efficient kiln operations by assisting with startup, operation, and shutdown, loading and unloading ceramic ware, and maintaining production records. Operators follow standard procedures and complete training to help ensure consistent production and safe kiln operation.

What you'll do

• Assist with kiln startup, operation, and shutdown
• document kiln changes
• follow standard and emergency procedures
• operate assigned kilns
• load ware onto firing fixtures and kilns and unload ware into trays or boxes
• perform operator preventive maintenance
• prepare daily production records
• complete assigned side work and training
• maintain a clean and orderly work area.
