The Cook — Assisted Living and Memory Care role is onsite in Salinas, CA. Pay is $22–$23 per hour, depending on experience. The cook supports dining services at Madonna Gardens Assisted Living and Memory Care, a community providing care, activities, socialization, and dining for residents. The cook prepares meals and other menu items on schedule, follows production sheets and recipes, and maintains kitchen equipment and sanitation. Reliable meal preparation and a positive, cooperative approach contribute to residents’ dining experience and the community’s daily operations.

What you'll do

• Prepare salads, bake desserts, and complete menu meals on time without direct supervision from the Culinary Services Director
• read and follow production sheets, recipes, menus, and food labels
• safely operate kitchen equipment and dishwashing machine
• clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and work areas
• check delivered food orders against invoices
• maintain appropriate work pace and attendance
• cooperate with residents, families, staff, and other community contacts
• help other staff when needed.
