Maintenance Technician

Job overview

The Maintenance Technician role is onsite at an apartment community in Roxbury, MA, with compensation of $25–$27 per hour. The technician supports Peabody Properties’ property management team and assists the Service Manager with efficient property operations. The role evaluates and responds to routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance needs across building systems, apartments, common areas, and grounds. It helps maintain safe, clean, and functional property spaces and responds to maintenance issues in a timely manner; after-hours, weekend, and holiday on-call coverage is part of the position.

What you'll do

• Evaluate and respond to routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance needs involving electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, locks and keys, basic carpentry, painting, drywall, janitorial work, grounds, snow removal, and cleaning
• maintain cleanliness in common and assigned areas
• maintain exterior grounds to company standards
• respond to and remedy maintenance issues in a timely manner
• provide on-call coverage for emergencies after hours, weekends, and holidays.
