What you'll do

• Supervise and develop the pathology billing team, including training, evaluations, and workflow management
• oversee client invoices, patient statements, and claims to insurers, Medicare, and Medicaid
• resolve denied or rejected claims and coordinate resubmissions or appeals
• monitor accounts receivable and collections
• ensure compliance with HIPAA, CPT, ICD-10, and payer rules
• collaborate with pathologists, laboratory staff, and coders on documentation and coding
• maintain billing software
• report billing activity, collections, and KPIs
• develop policies and procedures to streamline and automate billing and collections
• monitor industry and payer changes.
