Family Educator

The Family Educator is an onsite, full-time position based in Orem, UT; compensation is not specified. Family Haven’s mission is to build a community of healthy individuals and families through education and the prevention and treatment of child abuse and trauma. The role delivers prevention education and supports family relationships, safety, and healthy development. Through school and community presentations, parenting education when needed, and collaboration with families and community partners, the educator advances Family Haven’s education programs.

What you'll do

• Deliver PROTECT and other approved prevention curricula to elementary and secondary students in schools and community settings
• coordinate school presentations
• build relationships with teachers, school personnel, families, and community partners
• provide individual or group parenting education as needed
• complete documentation, evaluations, and reports
• assist with curriculum updates and program improvement
• participate in outreach, community events, meetings, and training.
