HVAC Service Technician

Job overview

The HVAC Service Technician works onsite in Iron Mountain, MI, supporting approximately 20 sites across the western Upper Peninsula. Compensation is not specified. The role reports to the Central Office Facilities Manager and supports facility operations for Michigan Broadband Services, a provider of high-speed communications solutions. The technician maintains HVAC and related building systems, responds to facility issues, and coordinates vendors and contractors. Regular travel between sites and an every-other-week on-call rotation support reliable facility operations and after-hours response.

What you'll do

• Maintain HVAC systems, including cleaning condenser coils, changing filters and belts, and greasing bearings. Develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs
• diagnose facility issues
• coordinate contractors and vendors
• maintain records
• and support safety, regulatory compliance, and emergency preparedness. Additional duties include light electrical work, minor plumbing repairs, fire system testing, and building and roof inspections.
