The engineer plans, coordinates, and manages onsite construction engineering activities for bridge, heavy civil, and marine projects. The role supports safe, compliant, and productive project delivery through technical planning, schedule and cost controls, quality review, and coordination with crews, subcontractors, and vendors.

What you'll do

• Inspect project sites for progress and conformance to design, safety, and productivity requirements
• provide technical input for work plans and schedules
• manage engineering activities against company, contract, and schedule requirements
• coordinate subcontractor and vendor schedules, performance, and payments
• meet with crews to review production and resource needs
• develop work plans, job hazard analyses, and site logistics plans
• maintain quantity, cost, quality, production, manpower, weather, and incident records
• review specifications, submittals, and requests for information
• estimate project quantities and costs
• mentor junior engineering staff or interns
• provide required notices to owners
• review and approve crew timecards
• support project and administrative teams.
