The Commercial Propane Service Technician role is onsite in Lafayette, IN. Compensation is not specified. DCC Propane provides propane and water-conditioning services to residential, agricultural, commercial, and industrial customers. The technician transports propane systems and equipment, installs and services customer systems, and follows safety requirements while supporting reliable delivery and customer service. The position includes a standard Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. schedule, with occasional weekends, on-call shifts, and overtime; extended hours are typical during the October–March busy season.

What you'll do

• Operate a propane delivery truck in compliance with DOT regulations
• deliver propane
• load and unload tanks and cylinders
• install tanks, gas lines, and related equipment
• perform maintenance, inspections, leak tests, pressure checks, diagnostics, and repairs
• maintain accurate records
• follow safety protocols
• explain system operation and maintenance to customers
• address customer concerns
• and provide emergency and on-call support as needed.
