What you'll do

• Learn to estimate food requirements and obtain ingredients
• prepare and cook food using production records and standardized recipes
• measure and mix ingredients
• cook meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods under guidance
• portion and garnish food as directed
• wash, peel, cut, and shred produce
• maintain work areas and equipment
• follow sanitation and safety practices.
