The MDS Director (RN) is an onsite role based in Catskill, NY, with a salary range of $90.00 to $110,000.00 per year. This position supports the nursing department at The Pines at Catskill, a premier provider of skilled nursing and rehabilitation services. This role exists to manage the Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessment process, ensuring accurate clinical documentation and revenue integrity. By overseeing care planning and regulatory compliance, the MDS Director directly contributes to the quality of resident care and the facility's financial performance.

What you'll do

• Lead and oversee the MDS program, ensuring compliance and accuracy in assessments.
• Determine Patient Driven Payment Method (PDPM) and expense associated with potential admissions.
• Monitor Case Mix Index (CMI) scores.
• Train, mentor, and manage MDS Coordinators.
• Coordinate resident assessments and care planning.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for data collection.
• Provide education to facility staff and leaders.
• Track and analyze assessment data to optimize reimbursement.

What we're looking for

Education

Valid state RN license preferred; Advanced degree or certification preferred.

Experience

Direct care in a long-term care setting and/or MDS Coordinator experience required.
