Retail Team Leader

Job overview

The Retail Team Leader works onsite in Middle River, MD, with pay of $16–$22 per hour. The role leads store operations while on duty, serving as the person in charge when a more senior manager is not present. Royal Farms’ team supports customer service, food service execution, store safety, and sales goals.

What you'll do

• Oversee shift operations and coordinate team responsibilities
• provide friendly customer service and coach team members
• communicate product and promotion information
• perform point-of-sale transactions, vendor check-in, and cash-control tasks
• enforce policies and safety procedures
• onboard and train team members
• support food and beverage ordering, production, handling, quality, and food safety
• maintain store cleanliness and report facility or equipment issues.

Why this role

Must be at least 18 and have a high school diploma or GED. Food service or retail management experience and an ANSI-approved Food Safety Manager Certification are preferred. Must be available primarily for second or third shifts, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
