Electrical Engineer

Job overview

The Electrical Engineer role is onsite in Bohemia, NY, with compensation of $70,000–$75,000 per year. VJ X-Ray develops and manufactures integrated X-ray sources and high-voltage generators for original equipment manufacturer partners. The engineer supports the design, wiring, testing, and debugging of electro-mechanical industrial X-ray sources. The work includes developing and maintaining electrical designs and documentation, testing components, and coordinating with engineering, sales, and production teams to meet specifications and address customer issues.

What you'll do

• Create and maintain Electrical Engineering Change Notices
• design, modify, and evaluate circuitry and components for high-voltage power supplies used in X-ray applications
• test, troubleshoot, and debug electrical systems
• conduct experimental tests
• support prototype assembly to design specifications
• review drawings for specifications, quality standards, and applicable codes
• generate and revise bills of materials
• prepare system design documents, technical documentation, manuals, and engineering reports
• coordinate with engineering, sales, and production teams
• follow workplace safety requirements.
