Operations Analyst – Utility Outage Dispatch

The Operations Analyst – Utility Outage Dispatch role is onsite in Norfolk, VA, at 2700 Cromwell Drive. The contract is for 12 months with a possibility of extension, pays $25–$29 per hour on W-2, and follows a rotating six-week schedule that includes weekends and holidays as needed. The analyst gathers and evaluates customer calls and computer data to identify power outage locations and causes, then dispatches first-response personnel and repair crews. The role also performs callouts for service restoration, emergencies, planned overtime, and fill shifts, helping coordinate timely responses to outages and other urgent situations.

What you'll do

• Analyze customer calls and computer data from multiple sources to determine power outage locations and causes
• create appropriate action plans
• dispatch first-response personnel and repair crews for outages and emergencies
• perform ARCOS callouts for service restoration, emergencies, planned overtime, and fill shifts
• prioritize changing tasks
• make considered decisions under pressure
• and provide customer service to internal and external clients. Minimum high school diploma or GED required
• dispatch or operations center experience is preferred. Schedule includes weekends and holidays as needed.
