CNC Large Mill CAD/CAM Programmer – First Shift

The CNC Large Mill CAD/CAM Programmer – First Shift role is onsite in Loves Park, IL. Compensation is $30–$45 per hour, depending on programming and machining capability. The role combines hands-on machining, setups, and programming to address a gap in programming and process expertise. It will help improve use of a large twin-column vertical machining center and may grow into a technical lead role standardizing programming, setups, and production methods across three large machines.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate large vertical milling equipment
• program new jobs and significantly modify existing programs
• troubleshoot production issues, including probing and restarting programs at intermediate points
• safely handle heavy parts and operate cranes and material-handling equipment
• develop and standardize processes, setups, and programming practices
• collaborate with operators and production personnel to improve machine utilization.
