Planning and Development Services Director

The Planning and Development Services Director role is onsite in Morgan, UT, with stated compensation of $115,000–$130,000 per year. The director leads Morgan County’s Planning and Development Department and advises the County Commission on planning matters. The role oversees planning, development review, policy implementation, and department operations to guide development in accordance with county plans, ordinances, and applicable requirements.

What you'll do

• Coordinate current and long-range planning, general plans, ordinance development, and development-code enforcement
• review applications
• coordinate Building Official activities
• advise officials and assist the public and community groups
• manage department staff, programs, and budget
• streamline and track development reviews
• implement development policies and standards
• support applicants through permit requirements
• attend and present at County Commission and Planning Commission meetings
• serve as zoning and floodplain administrator.
