The Surgery Scheduler works onsite in Richmond, VA, Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Pay is $17.88–$24.59 per hour. The role supports Virginia Urology’s mission to provide individualized, quality, compassionate urological care. The scheduler coordinates tests and procedures and ensures clearances, authorizations, billing arrangements, and patient instructions are in place. This coordination helps procedures proceed safely and on schedule while supporting patient satisfaction and clinical operations.

What you'll do

• Schedule tests, diagnostic procedures, and surgeries according to physician orders, facility availability, and patient preferences
• determine and track required medical clearances
• ensure medical information, orders, authorizations, documentation, and x-rays reach facilities
• educate patients about preparation
• make billing arrangements
• monitor physician schedules
• prepare charge forms
• and coordinate with surgery centers, Patient Accounting, hospitals, and other practices.
