The Registered Nurse (RN), Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) – Nights role is an onsite, 13-week contract assignment in Tucson, AZ, paying $42 per hour. Northwest Medical Center is seeking a nurse for its Level III NICU, caring for newborns and premature infants with neonatologists and multidisciplinary care teams. The nurse provides high-acuity neonatal care, supports NICU admissions and deliveries, and performs clinical tasks including starting IVs, drawing labs, and ventilator care. When census is low, nurses with postpartum experience may assist with newborn or couplet assignments.

What you'll do

• Attend high-risk and newborn deliveries
• manage NICU admissions
• start IVs and draw labs
• provide ventilator care
• deliver evidence-based neonatal nursing in accordance with hospital policy
• demonstrate leadership, delegation, and clinical judgment. When census is low, nurses with postpartum experience may assist with newborn or couplet assignments. Requires an active Arizona RN license, NRP certification, three or more years of NICU experience, Level III NICU experience, and an Infant Driven Feeding Certificate
• STABLE certification is preferred.
