HVAC Project Superintendent

The HVAC Project Superintendent is an onsite role for a commercial HVAC installation project in Aspen, CO, paying $35–$45 per hour. The position is the primary onsite project contact and coordinates with Kelso Industries’ Central Services Center, including project management, estimating, accounting, and dispatch. Kelso’s teams deliver HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, refrigeration, and electrical solutions. The superintendent leads installation execution and supervises installers to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality work. The role coordinates readiness and project risks, enforces safety and documentation standards, and performs quality checks to protect schedule and customer commitments.

What you'll do

• Lead and oversee installation execution
• plan work for safe, efficient delivery to quality standards
• identify execution risks and take corrective action
• supervise and coach installers
• hold crews accountable for safety, workmanship, and documentation
• coordinate job readiness with project managers
• escalate scope gaps, material delays, and schedule risks
• enforce safety standards and stop-work authority
• audit toolbox talks, JHAs/JSAs, PPE, and hazard controls
• establish quality gates
• perform milestone inspections and jobsite audits
• maintain punch-list discipline and prevent rework.
