Directional Drill Operator and Locator

The Directional Drill Operator and Locator role is onsite in Sacramento, CA; compensation is $25–$40 per hour. The position installs underground telecommunications cable conduit, including fiber optic cable, and supports field work for MP NEXLEVEL LLC. The operator and locator coordinate bore paths, operate horizontal directional drilling equipment, and verify clearances and depth during installation. What you'll do

• Operate horizontal directional drill rigs and locating and support equipment
• install underground telecommunications cable conduit, including fiber optic cable
• follow safety procedures and use safety equipment
• set up and clean work sites, including traffic and pedestrian control
• read utility locates and verify permits
• inspect work against specifications
• level earth to grade
• maintain equipment and make minor repairs
• confirm bore paths, complete job site analysis paperwork, verify clearances, and record tool-head depth.
