Construction Materials Field Technician

Job overview

The Construction Materials Field Technician role is onsite in the Denver, CO area. Compensation is $24–$32 per hour, with hours varying based on project demands. CMT Technical Services provides construction materials testing, inspection, and engineering services to help ensure the safety and strength of infrastructure and buildings. The technician tests construction materials in the field and documents results to verify compliance with project plans and specifications. The work supports quality standards on construction projects and clear coordination among contractors, inspectors, and project teams.

What you'll do

• Perform field testing of fresh concrete, soil compaction and density, and aggregate samples
• document test results in daily reports and datasheets
• communicate with contractors, project managers, inspectors, and internal teams
• safely operate and maintain testing equipment
• support additional project tasks as assigned.

Why this role

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least two years of field construction materials testing experience, and a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record. ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I and WAQTC In-Place Density certification are required or must be obtained shortly after hire.
