Part-Time Family SAFE Specialist

The Part-Time Family SAFE Specialist role is onsite in Janesville, WI, with pay of $21 per hour. Local travel is required throughout Rock County, with mileage reimbursement. The role supports the Rock County Safety and Family Engagement Program, serving children, youth, and families referred through county human services. The Specialist works with families to strengthen safety, engagement, and family functioning, including support for children remaining at home or reunifying when appropriate. Through in-home services, supervised family interactions, and parent coaching, the role contributes to family safety and permanency goals.

What you'll do

• Conduct face-to-face contacts with youth and families in homes, community settings, schools, and other approved locations
• assess strengths, needs, safety concerns, and barriers
• review and monitor safety, service, and case plans
• help families build skills and protective capacities
• facilitate and monitor safe family interactions
• provide parent coaching
• respond to crises using sound judgment and de-escalation strategies.
