The Refrigeration Start-Up Technician — Commercial & Industrial role is onsite in Houston, TX. Compensation is $35–$50 per hour, depending on experience. The technician supports CoolSys customers in the HVAC and refrigeration industry. The role starts up supermarket refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment and assists with energy optimization projects. By verifying system operation, configuring controls, and supporting project work, the technician helps meet customer needs accurately and on time.

What you'll do

• Perform evacuations of parallel racks after pressure tests
• wire and program energy management systems
• start up new parallel and individual refrigeration systems
• lead small case and condenser changeout projects
• assist with retro-commissioning, EMS upgrades, leak detection upgrades, and gas conversion projects
• support local service and construction teams between projects.

Why this role
