The Die Casting Specialist role is onsite in Clackamas, OR. Compensation is not specified. The role supports Astronics PECO’s casting team, producing parts to customer specifications for the company’s aerospace and other mission-critical markets. This specialist operates and troubleshoots high-pressure zinc and aluminum die-casting equipment, supports process quality and improvement, and helps develop the team through training. The work contributes to reliable, cost-conscious production by maintaining equipment, addressing defects, coordinating tool repairs, and working with Engineering.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate casting machines, trim presses, auxiliary equipment, and robots
• troubleshoot machine programs and casting defects
• train Die Cast Trainees, Die Casters, and Senior Die Casters
• improve processes
• maintain setup sheets, inspection reports, and records
• coordinate tool repairs and Tool Repair Orders
• perform metal sampling
• apply quality and safety standards
• collaborate with Engineering on casting processes and metal hygiene.
