The Elementary Special Education Teacher position is onsite in Hartly, DE. Pay is $42–$48 per hour. Pediatric Developmental Services provides teachers and pediatric therapists to public school districts, charter schools, and communities, with a stated mission to make a difference in children’s lives. The teacher creates and carries out individualized education plans, prepares lessons, tracks student progress, and works with families, school staff, and on-site therapists. The role supports students’ learning and classroom participation through individualized instruction and reinforcement, while maintaining a safe and productive classroom.

What you'll do

• Create and execute individualized education plans
• communicate student progress and challenges to staff and families
• prepare lesson plans for administrator approval
• participate in scheduled IEP meetings
• use individualized reinforcement techniques
• invite family participation
• prepare quarterly progress reports
• consult with on-site therapists about student behavioral and disciplinary issues
• maintain a safe, productive classroom.
