The Maintenance Technician • 2nd Shift is an onsite, full-time position supporting two plants in Auburn Hills and Pontiac, MI, located about one mile apart. Pay is $22–$31 per hour, negotiable based on experience. Peninsula Plastics says its maintenance technicians support the Production Team and keep equipment and facilities operating. The technician performs preventive and corrective maintenance on thermoforming machinery and other production equipment. The role diagnoses faults, repairs or replaces defective parts, assists with equipment installation, and supports facility upkeep and safe, reliable day-to-day operations.

What you'll do

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on thermoforming machinery and equipment
• inspect and test equipment to diagnose malfunctions
• dismantle machinery to replace defective parts
• participate in equipment installation
• complete assigned projects
• use power and hand tools, Hi-Lo, and other equipment
• perform welding, cutting, and electrical repairs
• troubleshoot and resolve issues
• record equipment readings and procedures
• follow safe work practices
• travel between the two plants as needed during the shift.

Why this role

Second shift runs 3:30 p.m.–2:00 a.m., Monday through Friday. Requires at least three years of maintenance and plant operations experience and the applicant’s own tools and rolling toolbox.
