Regional Dietitian

What you'll do

• Review new residents on admission and current residents quarterly, annually, and as needed
• assess significant weight changes and pressure-related wounds
• calculate energy needs and recommend nutrition support
• attend at-risk and food committee meetings as needed
• complete section K of the MDS
• write and update nutrition plans of care
• conduct room visits
• meet with residents and families as needed
• observe dietary services and dining rooms as needed
• conduct monthly and as-needed meal tray audits
• submit recommendations for physician approval
• communicate with nursing staff for root-cause analysis.
