The Overnight Weekday Veterinary Technician role is onsite in Huntersville, NC, at Carolina Veterinary Specialists – Huntersville. Compensation is $25–$32 per hour. The hospital provides 24/7 emergency and specialty care, and PetVet Care Centers’ mission is to improve the lives of animals and people through compassionate care. The role exists to provide advanced nursing care and monitoring for hospitalized, emergency, and critical patients overnight. It supports continuity of care by performing technical procedures, communicating patient status changes to the overnight emergency veterinarian, maintaining records, and preparing for the morning shift transition.

What you'll do

• Provide patient care through examinations, diagnostic procedures, nursing care, feeding, and monitoring
• place IV catheters, perform venipuncture, administer medications and fluids, collect diagnostic samples, and assist with emergency procedures
• assess patients and communicate status changes to the veterinarian
• maintain accurate medical records
• support surgery and examinations
• maintain supplies and equipment
• keep patient areas clean and safe
• document and secure controlled medications
• communicate patient status to owners as directed
• assist with discharge and shift handoff.

Why this role

Full-time schedule Monday–Thursday, 8 PM–6 AM. Requires CVT, LVT, RVT, or LVMT credential and at least two years of veterinary technician experience. Sign-on bonus of up to $1,000 may be available based on experience as a credentialed veterinary technician.
