Automotive Technician – Fleet Mechanic is an onsite, full-time role in Amherst, NH. Compensation is $30–$36 per hour, depending on experience. The technician supports Student Transportation of America’s school bus fleet and student transportation operations. The role maintains safe, reliable, road-ready school buses and Class-A vehicles through preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnosis, and repairs. The technician also responds to road calls and emergency maintenance needs and must obtain a CDL B with Passenger endorsement within six months; paid training is provided.

What you'll do

• Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections on school buses and Class-A vehicles
• diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
• repair brakes, drivetrains, transmissions, and engines
• respond to road calls and emergency maintenance situations
• perform unscheduled repairs
• maintain professional work practices and follow safety standards.
