Lead Security Engineer

Job overview

The Lead Security Engineer role is primarily in person in San Francisco, CA, with four days of in-person collaboration and compensation of $200,000–$300,000 per year. As the company’s dedicated security hire, this hands-on individual contributor builds repeatable security operations and automation. The role owns compliance operations, security testing, access and vulnerability management, detection and response, and evidence workflows to support reliable, secure products for regulated customers.

What you'll do

• Own operating procedures for SOC 2, PCI, security questionnaires, and bank requirements
• test cloud, identity, application, payment, and AI boundaries
• investigate access anomalies
• strengthen IAM/PAM controls
• manage vulnerability scanning and remediation tracking
• develop incident runbooks and detections
• and automate security controls and evidence workflows.
