The Alarm Monitor Operator role is onsite in Fort Hood, TX. Compensation is not specified. The position monitors alarmed zones at the Fort Cavazos military installation and coordinates with emergency services and alarm maintenance staff. The role exists to identify alarm status changes promptly, support appropriate police response, and keep accurate records so alarm events and maintenance needs are communicated and documented.

What you'll do

• Monitor more than 600 alarmed zones and notify the Directorate of Emergency Services Police Dispatcher when a status change requires police response
• keep the Contracting Officer’s Representative and alarm maintenance technician informed of events requiring maintenance
• maintain detailed event logs
• support training, compliance, escalated alarm response, team records, and coordination with the dispatcher and shift leader.

Why this role

Work hours are either 1 p.m.–9 p.m. or 5 a.m.–1 p.m., Friday–Monday; 24 hours per week are guaranteed, with work typically closer to 40 hours. Must be able to obtain and maintain suitability requirements for access to classified information.
