What you'll do

  • Teach an interdisciplinary, NGSS-aligned curriculum
  • Develop students’ practices of questioning, modeling, constructing explanations, data analysis, argumentation, and planning and conducting interactive labs
  • Use love of science to foster confidence and meaningful engagement
  • Cultivate awareness of interconnected nature of fields of science and community
  • Meet weekly with principal/coach to analyze and respond to trends in student work and assessments
  • Learn and implement strategies to differentiate instruction
  • Build positive relationships with students
  • Partner with students’ families
  • Engage in practice-based professional development, mentorship, and coaching
  • Participate in weekly, school-wide meetings
  • Partner with grade level team to develop academic goals and practice instructional strategies.

What we're looking for

Education
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience
1-2 years experience preferred.
