Heavy Equipment Operator – Front-End Loader

The Heavy Equipment Operator – Front-End Loader role is onsite in Saint Helens, OR. Pay is $20–$23 per hour. The position is with a metals recycling facility, where the operator supports the movement and processing of scrap materials. The operator keeps material moving through the yard by loading outbound vehicles, organizing stockpiles and sorting lanes, and completing equipment inspections. The role also assists yard operations and follows safety procedures in an active industrial environment.

What you'll do

• Operate front-end wheel loaders to move, sort, stockpile, and load scrap metal and other bulk materials
• load outbound trucks, gondolas, and bins within legal axle weight limits
• organize stockpiles and sorting lanes
• perform daily pre-operational inspections
• assist with manual sorting, scrap segregation, torch-cut clearing, and housekeeping as needed
• communicate with yard staff and drivers
• and follow safety and PPE requirements.
