Medical Billing and Collections Specialist

The Medical Billing and Collections Specialist role is onsite in Centennial, CO, with hybrid work potentially considered. Pay is $24–$26 per hour, based on experience. The role supports a growing specialty physician practice.

What you'll do

• Process and submit approximately 100 medical claims daily
• review payer correspondence, rejected claims, and denials
• research and resolve approximately 50 denied or outstanding claims daily
• perform insurance accounts receivable follow-up and collections
• review coding, modifiers, and payer requirements
• investigate underpayments and reimbursement discrepancies
• manage patient balances as needed
• post payments
• work claims through resolution
• identify denial trends
• maintain documentation and collaborate on revenue cycle improvements.
