Cafe Shift Leader

Job overview

The Cafe Shift Leader role is onsite at the Jeff Rouse Swim and Sport Center in Stafford, VA, and pays $14–$16 per hour. This part-time position supports the center’s café and reports to the Food & Beverage Director and/or General Manager. The shift leader provides guest service, handles payments, serves food and beverages, and helps coordinate café attendants and kitchen support to keep service timely and the café operating efficiently. The position is explicitly non-supervisory and includes opening and closing front-of-house operations.

What you'll do

• Operate the cash register and point-of-sale system and smoothie station
• greet and serve guests
• respond to requests and build rapport
• upsell food and beverage items
• serve orders promptly
• open and close the front of house
• clean and maintain the café and dining area
• organize, stock, and control inventory
• assist back-of-house team members as needed
• communicate front-of-house issues to managers
• lead café attendants in this non-supervisory role.

Why this role

Part-time, non-exempt, non-supervisory position.
