Pediatric Dental Assistant – Huguenot Specialty Center

The Pediatric Dental Assistant role is onsite in Midlothian, VA, with typical hours of 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday–Friday. Pay is $18–$25 per hour based on experience. The assistant joins Virginia Family Dentistry’s Huguenot Specialty Center team. The assistant supports dentists during pediatric dental care, prepares and maintains operatories, takes X-rays, and helps coordinate schedules, supplies, and lab work. The role contributes to timely appointments and infection control through communication with the clinical and administrative teams.

What you'll do

• Provide chairside assistance to dentists
• take X-rays
• stock, organize, and disinfect operatories
• sterilize instruments and follow infection control protocols
• prepare for appointments and review the doctor’s schedule
• input treatment plans
• coordinate with the front desk to keep schedules on time
• track lab work
• order and unpack supplies
• follow up with patients regarding unscheduled treatment
• assist administrative staff as needed.
