What you'll do

• Co-teach with general education teachers and lead small-group instruction
• create and teach engaging lessons aligned to state standards
• assist with curriculum development and mapping
• ensure IEPs and student needs are met
• manage a student caseload
• use data to improve instruction and achievement
• establish a respectful classroom environment and manage student behavior
• communicate student progress with families
• attend required meetings, school events, and committee work, including evenings and weekends as necessary
• perform assigned arrival, dismissal, bus, and hallway duties
• conduct home visits twice per school year.
