Cable Technician — Fiber Optic, Night Work

The technician installs, splices, tests, troubleshoots, and documents fiber and structured cabling infrastructure to support campus upgrades, migrations, and reliable telecommunications service.

What you'll do

• Lead fiber installation, splicing, termination, testing, labeling, and troubleshooting
• support inside- and outside-plant infrastructure, air-blown fiber, microduct, and Cat6
• install and validate pathways and telecommunications hardware
• read drawings and route maps
• document test results and installations
• support cutovers, migrations, restorations, and room upgrades
• and coordinate with engineers, project managers, and government personnel.
