Construction Project Engineer

Job overview

The Construction Project Engineer role is onsite in Durham, NC. Compensation is $70,000–$82,000 per year. The role supports construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. What you'll do

• Support project managers with planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution
• review architectural and engineering plans
• coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
• track project progress, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
• assist with quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and procurement
• conduct site inspections
• maintain project records and reports
• facilitate stakeholder communication
• help identify delays and risks
• participate in meetings and prepare reports.

Why this role

Full-time schedule Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., 40 hours per week; frequent long hours and weekend work. Requires a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field, 1–3 years of relevant experience, and a valid North Carolina driver’s license. Local travel is primary, with some out-of-area travel possible.
