Medical Billing Specialist – Collector

The Medical Billing Specialist – Collector position is onsite in West Hollywood, CA, and pays $26–$32 per hour. Men’s Health Foundation connects men at risk to comprehensive healthcare and wellness and works to reduce barriers to care. The collector manages provider-side insurance accounts receivable through follow-up, denial resolution, reconsiderations, and appeals. The role supports accurate reimbursement and departmental performance by researching claims, documenting actions, and resolving outstanding balances.

What you'll do

• Manage assigned insurance accounts receivable through final resolution
• follow up on unpaid, underpaid, rejected, and denied claims
• prepare corrected claims, reconsiderations, and appeals
• review EOBs, ERAs, denial codes, authorizations, medical necessity, and payer requirements
• prioritize aged, high-dollar, and deadline-sensitive accounts
• document payer contacts and follow-up actions
• identify recurring payer issues and denial trends
• meet productivity, quality, collection, and AR reduction expectations.
