Senior Estimator

The Senior Estimator role is onsite in Lenexa, KS. Compensation is not specified. The position supports GBA Builders’ preconstruction and estimating work across life sciences, mission critical, industrial, and federal projects. The role leads estimate development and guides team members to produce accurate, timely, and competitive work. It contributes to project pursuits by assessing scope, costs, risks, and constructability and coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, design partners, and internal teams.

What you'll do

• Lead estimating deliverables and coordinate team workload
• mentor estimating staff
• review plans and specifications and compile quantity takeoffs
• solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals
• support conceptual estimates and ROMs
• assess risks and mitigation strategies
• conduct constructability reviews and identify cost reductions
• prepare owner proposals
• maintain bid spreadsheets
• collaborate across estimating, operations, design, and business development
• lead preconstruction meetings, estimate presentations, and project turnovers
• research construction materials, methods, and trends.

Why this role
