Machine Repair and Maintenance Technician

The Machine Repair and Maintenance Technician role is onsite in Akron, OH. Compensation is $26–$35 per hour, plus the applicable shift premium. The role supports production equipment and facility systems in a manufacturing environment. The technician troubleshoots and maintains injection molding machinery, finishing equipment, and facility systems to reduce production downtime. The work supports safe, reliable production through repairs, preventive maintenance, inspections, and coordination with production teams.

What you'll do

• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and operational faults
• repair automated machinery, controls, PLC-related faults, and robotic equipment within training and authorization
• repair or replace components
• perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and changeovers
• test machinery after repairs
• install and maintain production equipment
• fabricate replacement parts when required
• report unsafe conditions
• follow lockout/tagout and safe electrical practices
• maintain work areas and records.

Why this role

Second shift is Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM with a $0.75/hour premium; third shift is Sunday–Friday, 11:00 PM–7:30 AM with a $0.50/hour premium. Own hand tools are required.
