DevSecOps Engineer

The DevSecOps Engineer role is onsite in Gaithersburg, MD, with a six-month contract-to-hire arrangement. Compensation is $75–$80 per hour. System One provides outsourced services and workforce solutions; this position supports secure cloud-native engineering work under a contract requiring Top Secret/SCI clearance and the ability to pass a polygraph. The engineer builds and maintains secure CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments, integrates security practices into development workflows, and supports cloud infrastructure. The role also troubleshoots deployments, conducts vulnerability assessments, and contributes to compliance and continuous improvement.

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines for microservices and container deployments
• support Docker and Kubernetes or OpenShift environments
• manage infrastructure with Terraform or CloudFormation
• support secure cloud provisioning and monitoring
• integrate static and dynamic code analysis
• collaborate with engineering and security teams to harden environments
• troubleshoot builds, deployments, and performance
• conduct vulnerability assessments and assist with RMF, STIG, and related compliance
• document configurations and improve DevSecOps processes.
