Facilities and Equipment Maintenance Technician

The Facilities and Equipment Maintenance Technician role is onsite in Decatur, TX. Compensation is $30–$45 per hour, with work averaging approximately 20 hours per week and varying with project demand. Omega Research operates an accredited materials-testing laboratory serving aerospace plating and finishing operations. The technician builds and maintains laboratory test equipment and supports general facility upkeep so the laboratory can carry out its testing work. Assignments include equipment assembly, repairs, preventive maintenance, and building maintenance, with completed equipment turned over to ORI personnel for verification.

What you'll do

• Assemble and wire mechanical and electrical test equipment from drawings, bills of materials, and work instructions
• terminate and test low-voltage connections
• install and leak-check pneumatic lines
• document build work and deviations
• diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults
• perform scheduled preventive maintenance
• identify replacement parts and submit purchase requests
• coordinate before work on calibrated or in-service equipment
• complete minor building repairs and shop organization tasks.
